This training aims to provide staff with an understanding of emotional regulation and
practical ways to support young people through use of the Zones of Regulation.

Have you recently employed new staff? Are their staff in your school or setting who are new to SEND? If so, then this course is perfect for them!
The course will begin by looking at essential legislation, inclusive practice for all and offer practical advice for supporting children and young people with SEND. We will look into what working with a SEND CYP entails and how you can further develop your knowledge and understanding. There will be opportunities for discussion and reflection in this session.

For young people aged 11+ with SEND
Course summary:
The majority of Children and Young People with SEND will be supported within their mainstream school through the graduated approach, quality first teaching, targeted and personalised support.
Some children with more complex or long term needs that are impacting on their ability to access learning and develop independence may require an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP)

S.E.N.D. Events
Families of children with special needs and disabilities are welcome to visit the Hub at any time.
We also organise dedicated SEND events especially for these families and their friends.
These events are quieter than our usual play sessions and take place once the venue has closed from 6.30pm onwards

At Climb Quest, we passionately share an ethos around inclusion for all, running specific Autism friendly and SEND sessions. We support groups and individuals to challenge themselves and promote healthy lifestyle activities. We try and support as many people as possible to try climbing through our regular events, work with charities and groups, and through 1:1 activities.
