Information, advice, and signposting to parents and carers supporting children and young people with autism, connecting them to both national and local support resources and services.

Parents and Carers Alliance - PACA MK

PACA MK is an independent and voluntary group of parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities or additional needs.

The group is open to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 years old with disabilities or additional needs who live in the city of Milton Keynes.

PACA MK is organised by a committee of parents and carers and has a steering group which meets regularly.

PACA MK works in collaboration with service providers in health, education, social care and leisure services in Milton Keynes. Our aim is to fully include parents and carers in the development and improvement of local services.

SEND IAS

MK Special Educational Needs and Disability Service (SENDIAS) is a statutory service offering confidential and impartial information, advice and support to children and young people with additional needs and their parents/carers. The remit of SENDIAS covers education, health and social care between the ages of 0 - 25.

Autism Bedfordshire / Autism Milton Keynes

Autism Bedfordshire is an independent charity whose aim is to improve the quality of life for autistic children, young people and adults and their families. Our specific objectives are to:

  • Reduce social isolation and improve psychological wellbeing for autistic people and their families.
  • Reduce stress for parents/carers and improve their ability to cope with and manage the complex difficulties of their autistic children
  • Improve awareness, knowledge and understanding about autism amongst families, professionals and the wider community.
