My Voice Counts Youth Network Flyer pdf

The Milton Keynes SEND Youth Network builds on the work of the previous SEND Youth Council, My Voice Counts. The network provides opportunities for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to share their experiences, views and ideas, helping to shape services, influence decisions and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND across Milton Keynes.

The SEND Youth Network works in partnership with local organisations and decision-makers to ensure the voices of children and young people are heard and valued. Through participation and co-production, young people can help develop services, identify priorities and contribute to meaningful change.

Our Aims

  • To represent and amplify the voices of children and young people with SEND in Milton Keynes.
  • To provide meaningful opportunities for children and young people with SEND to participate in decision-making.
  • To identify and raise awareness of the issues, challenges and priorities that matter most to young people with SEND.
  • To empower children and young people to influence local services, policies and strategic developments.
  • To work alongside professionals, services and partners through co-production to improve support and opportunities.
  • To promote inclusion, independence and positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
  • To create meaningful change by ensuring young people's experiences and feedback help shape the future of services in Milton Keynes.
